(2) The painting is based on a black and white photograph, enlarged to greater size than the painting, which my Grandparents had taken and framed while my Uncle was alive. The photograph, which I have, is therefore at least 65 years old and maybe 66. The painting was almost certainly arranged after his death as a commemorative act and, while I cannot give a precise age for it, given that it would have been prepared before my Aunt married, abd certainly long before her eldest daughter, Anne, who is 47 years, was born, then I would deduce that the painting could be in excess of 60 years and not less than 50 years old. I am sure your experts in the field would be able to make a more accurate estimate.
